The hygienist’s main role is to professionally clean the teeth for the patient. This is usually called scaling and polishing. However, perhaps their most important role is showing the patient the best way to keep teeth free of plaque. The hygienist will work with your dentist to provide care tailored to your needs.
I qualified as a dental hygienist at Guys Hospital in 1991. Having previously worked at several practices in Essex, I joined Fourways in 2001. My work always has been and remains a very rewarding and challenging area of my life. My free time revolves around first and foremost golf, eating out, holidays, cooking, socializing, gardening and cramming as fun as possible into my life.
